Responsibilities
* Carry out housing needs assessments in line with housing legislation and local authority policy
* Assess applications for social housing, including eligibility, priority and banding
* Manage a caseload of applicants and provide clear advice on housing options
* Allocate properties in accordance with the housing allocations scheme
* Liaise with applicants, internal teams, housing providers and external agencies
* Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with data protection requirements
* Respond to enquiries and appeals in a timely and professional manner
* Contribute to service improvement and performance targets
* Previous experience in housing assessments, allocations or lettings within a local authority or social housing environment
* Good understanding of housing legislation, homelessness duties and allocations schemes
* Experience managing complex caseloads and working to deadlines
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to make sound decisions and explain outcomes clearly to customers
* Confident IT skills and experience using housing management systems
* Standard DBS check required

This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday), operating on a hybrid basis with 3 days per week in the office.
Pay Rates
* £21.41 per hour (PAYE)
* £28.19 per hour (Umbrella)
