We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on General Manager to join an established and expanding family-owned manufacturing business on the Isle of Anglesey. This varied role will involve overseeing the day-to-day running of the site, covering warehouse, logistics, distribution, and a small plastic extrusion production facility. You will also take full responsibility for health and safety on site, as well as general administration and HR tasks.
This is a great opportunity for someone with supervisory or management experience in warehousing, logistics, or production who is looking to take on a broad role in a small, friendly team. While direct knowledge of plastic extrusion (PVC pipe) would be an advantage, it is not essential – what matters most is your ability to organise, motivate, and support staff while keeping operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and support a small team.
2. Oversee warehouse, logistics, and distribution operations, including goods in/out, stock control, and order processing.
3. Supervise and coordinate production activities, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards maintained.
4. Take full responsibility for health & safety compliance on site.
5. Carry out general administrative duties, including HR and staff training.
6. Promote a positive working environment and team culture.
7. Maintain accurate records (ERP/MRP systems, stock levels, performance reports).
8. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
9. Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within warehouse, logistics, or production.
10. Strong organisational and communication skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
11. IT literate (Microsoft Office; ERP/MRP systems experience desirable).
12. FLT Counterbalance experience/licence preferred but not essential.
13. Knowledge of extrusion or plastics manufacturing would be beneficial but not required.
This is a hands-on role where you will be directly involved in both managing people and processes and supporting day-to-day operations. It would suit someone motivated, adaptable, and keen to make a real impact within a small but growing business. In return, you will receive a salary in circa of £35,000 per annum plus company benefits.
If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, don't hesitate & apply today!
