HGV Class 1 Driver – Trunking and Multi-Drop
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Middlewich, Cheshire.

Shifts:
• AM starts between 04:00 – 06:00
• PM starts between 18:00 – 20:00
Rates of Pay:
• £17.00 per hour – Days
• £18.00 per hour – Nights

Day-to-Day Duties:
• Carry out trunking work between depots, with occasional store deliveries
• Operate and drive Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery points
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
• Ensure all goods are safely and securely loaded
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills:
• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• Minimum of six months’ experience driving Category CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsements)
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• Strong understanding of UK road transport regulations
• Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles in a similar role
Training Provided:
• On-site driver assessment (must be completed before starting)
• One-day paid induction following successful assessment
