Job Description
We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our plant's control and electrical systems. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment. You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and eliminate defects, develop maintenance routines, and calibrate instruments
* Assist in plant design, modification, and hazard analysis
* Provide technical support, training, and apprentice development
* Implement HSEQ standards and environmental safeguards
* Manage SAP data, coordinate with contractors, and procure materials
* Participate in performance management and report safety incidents
* Support reliability improvements and ensure efficient operations
Qualifications
* Relevant apprenticeship or HNC with 3+ years hands-on experience
* In-depth knowledge of engineering systems and COMAH site requirements
* Proficiency in SAP and problem-solving techniques
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to HSEQ standards and continuous improvement
