The Perinatal Mental Health SCPHN will work across the 0‑5 Health Visiting service providing expert health support and knowledge. The role involves supporting a caseload of families identified as needing additional wellbeing support in the perinatal period.
Responsibilities
* Offer advice and support to families using evidence‑based tools, and encourage parents to access community‑based services and support evidence outcomes utilising the Warwick‑Edinburgh Mental Health Scale.
* Act in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct, maintaining professional competence and standards.
* Deliver the commissioned service, prioritising, and managing time and resources effectively in line with best practice.
* Utilise specialist skills and knowledge to assess the health and health‑related needs of children and their families.
* Support identification and delivery of care in line with the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) for 0‑5 and the Perinatal Wellbeing model.
