About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant with experience working with students with SEMH needs to join our team on a long-term basis. In this role, you will provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to develop coping strategies, manage their emotions, and engage effectively in learning activities. Working closely with class teachers and SENCO, you will implement personalized interventions and support plans to promote positive behavior and academic progress.
Key Skills, Experiences & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
● Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
● Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
● Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
● Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques for supporting students with SEMH needs.
● Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields are desirable but not essential.
