Location: Edmonton / Staines
Contract: Permanent, full time
Salary: £35 - 45k per annum plus company van
What will you be responsible for?
As a SHE Advisor, you'll be working within the SHE team, supporting them in putting safety, health and environment first, by delivering a consistent approach across our London Highways Contracts for Kier & TKJV, making sure the SHE strategy is implemented and executed.
Your day to day will include:
* Promoting safety, health and the environment, leading and setting a good example to other employees and stakeholders, working closely with the operational teams in carrying out their roles and SHE responsibilities, including on-site support and guidance, aiding management teams in the development of health and safety related documents, advising in the identification of health and safety training requirements
* Providing timely operational SHE supports and advice to the business unit, assisting the operational teams in developing risk assessments and safe systems of work, conducting regular and robust health and safety inspections & audits
* Reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses quickly and are also effectively investigated, contributing to incident review boards and incident review panels
* Ensuring operational compliance to approved SHE procedures, implementing and complying with all legal requirements, Kier Group's (SHEMS), client requirements and best practice, checking the group is compliant with all SHEA: statutory requirements, accredited processes & procedures, and contract specific requirements, including PMRs
* Managing the reporting and reviewal of SHE accidents / incidents on the contract, supporting the assessment of staff to ensure capacity, capability and competency are maintained
What are we looking for?
This role of SHE Advisor is great for you if:
* You have experience working as a SHE Advisor, with practical knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards
* Hold a full driving licence
* Possess a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent and membership of relevant professional institution (Tech IOSH or above)
