Overview
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
GSL Education are currently seeking experienced and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Grimsby. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students’ learning and development while making a positive impact on their educational journey.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, including those with physical, emotional, or learning difficulties.
* Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
* Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the needs of individual students.
* Help students develop social and emotional skills to engage successfully with their peers.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.
* Support students with personal care, if necessary, following school guidelines and policies.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in an educational or care setting is desirable, particularly within EYFS–KS2.
* A caring, patient, and flexible approach to supporting students.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
* A full, up-to-date CV with clear employment history and explanations for any gaps within the last 10 years.
