Role Purpose
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Global Markets Surveillance team as a Senior Manager, Equities Surveillance. This role is critical in maintaining and enhancing surveillance controls to detect market abuse and misconduct risks within the bank’s Equities business in the UK.

In this role you will:
-Maintain, operate, and optimise trade, audio and e-communication surveillance controls.
-Conduct high-quality, intelligence-led investigations into potential market abuse or misconduct.
-Provide subject matter expertise on surveillance tools and equity products.
-Contribute to the Market Abuse Risk Assessment (MARA) process.
-Support timely responses to regulatory, management, and business inquiries, including ad-hoc investigations.
-Serve as a subject matter expert on market abuse, conduct, and unauthorised trading risks in Equities.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Front Office, Compliance, and Control Office teams.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
-Strong equity product knowledge within financial markets/investment banking and regulatory requirements is essential.
-Prior experience in a Trading Surveillance, Compliance, Financial Crime, Product Control, or Middle Office role in Equities is preferred.
-Strong analytical thinking and problem solving
-Good time management and prioritisation.
-Good written and verbal communications with the ability to clearly articulate complex investigations, utilising markets knowledge, particularly to senior stakeholders.
-Co-operative team-player with solid interpersonal skills.
