Du Pont (U.K.) Industrial Limited, known for manufacturing Kevlar yarn, is seeking an experienced Engineer f/m based in Maydown, Derry / Londonderry.
The successful candidate will be part of a team leading continuous improvement initiatives through evidence-based analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Comply with company Safety, Health & Environment standards and procedures.
* Develop and troubleshoot processes supporting Kevlar yarn manufacturing. Monitor and control process variables for efficient production.
* Lead and participate in front-end loading of capital projects.
* Conduct Process Hazards Analyses (PHAs) for existing and new processes.
* Apply knowledge of technology to define and implement solutions for Process Safety Management (PSM), and support Grow and Improve projects.
* Lead and support Root Cause Analysis investigations.
* Provide operational support on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* BEng degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Manufacturing Engineering.
* At least 5 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing.
* Legal right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
* Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
* Experience in polymer or chemical processing environments.
