S4 change management consultant, back office functions

As an S4 Business Change Manager, you will be responsible for driving change delivery across back-office enabling functions (HR, Finance, Procurement, Commercial) for our client. You will work as part of the Change Programme team, ensuring SAP-enabled changes are understood, adopted, and embedded, enabling the business to transition smoothly to new processes and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead change delivery for assigned back-office enabling functions (HR, Finance, Procurement, Commercial).
* Partner with Function Leads and Tech Centre Change Champions to drive adoption and embedment of SAP-enabled changes.
* Assess change impacts across functions and lead change planning.
* Develop and deliver function-specific change plans aligned to overall programme strategy.
* Engage, influence, and support business users and leaders to ensure smooth adoption.
* Create clear, tailored communications that explain what’s changing and why; cascade key messages for alignment.
* Surface responses to change, gather feedback, and work with Function Leads to resolve issues.
* Identify training needs, supporting the design and execution of SAP-related training.
* Track business readiness, address risks/issues, and support smooth transitions.
* Act as the bridge between the Change Programme team and back-office functions.
* Collaborate with leadership teams to reinforce and sustain change adoption.
Skills & Competencies
* SAP Expertise: Proven experience in SAP across enabling functions (HR, Finance, Procurement, Commercial).
* Change Leadership: Strong ability to identify, articulate, and address change impacts across end-to-end business processes.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional relationship management, facilitation, and influencing skills.
* Delivery Mindset: Skilled at producing tangible change deliverables and driving outcomes.
* Structured & Strategic: Able to challenge existing approaches and influence movement towards global ways of working.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; skilled at creating audience-specific messaging.

Experience Required
* 5–10 years of business change management experience.
* Must have: Hands-on SAP experience across back-office enabling functions (HR, Finance, Procurement, Commercial).
* Background in at least one core enabling function (e.g., HR, Finance, Procurement, or Commercial).
* Proven track record of delivering change and adoption initiatives with business users.
* Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, communication, and influencing skills.
