Overview
We are recruiting for a permanent Support Worker at Highwater House, a residential care home providing care for 22 adults with mental health and substance misuse issues.
Duties include medication administering, care planning, escorting residents to appointments, planning and implementing activities, providing personal care, and attending meetings with other professionals.
Responsibilities
* Administer medications as directed and monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition.
* Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with residents and the care team.
* Escort residents to appointments and accompany them to external services as required.
* Plan and facilitate activities to support residents" wellbeing and engagement.
* Provide personal/personal care in a respectful and dignified manner.
* Attend multidisciplinary meetings to coordinate care and share updates on residents.
Requirements/Qualifications
* Applicants must be supportive and empathetic toward clients with complex needs.
* Strong time management and organisational skills; able to work effectively within a team.
* Demonstrable qualities: caring, kind, empathic and patient, with knowledge of basic principles of care.
What you can expect
* 32 hours per week (Permanent) with shift work including evenings and weekends, and sleep-ins.
* Salary range: £26,403 – £28,142; Sleep-in rate £43.12.
