Overview
JN Bentley is seeking enthusiastic and positive Skilled Operative Groundworker who live in and around the Gloucester area to join one of our existing Groundworks gangs working across the region. In this role you will work as part of a gang on various construction sites predominantly within the water industry. You will have a proactive attitude towards work and health and safety, with experience ideally of general civils work, concreting, deep drainage and pipe laying. The ideal candidate should be multi-skilled and able to work on the machines as well as on the ground within the gang. This role is not for a dedicated Plant Operative.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a groundworks gang on construction sites, primarily in the water industry.
* Perform general civil engineering tasks including concreting, deep drainage and pipe laying.
* Be multi-skilled and able to operate plant machinery as well as work on the ground within the gang.
* Maintain proactive attitude toward health and safety compliance.
Candidate Specification / Qualifications
* Experience within a wide range of Civil Engineering, particularly general civil work, concreting, deep drainage and pipe-laying; experience in the water industry.
* CSCS Touchscreen & 1 day Health & Safety Awareness - Minimum requirement.
* Ideally hold CPCS / NOCN or NPORs Plant Tickets.
* CPCS / NOCN or NPORs Plant cards & NVQ for 360 Excavator, Forward Tipping Dumper, Ride on Roller, Telehandler.
