The Role
You’ll work closely with our Staff Engineer to execute on a broad and exciting DevOps roadmap. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you’ll see the results of your efforts directly improve how the engineering team operates day to day.
There’s potential to form a small platform team alongside the Staff Engineer, with real ownership over infrastructure and developer tooling.

* GitHub Actions cost reduction: identifying and eliminating wasteful pipeline runs
* Infrastructure management: working within a fully Terraform‑based AWS serverless environment
* Cost optimisation: reducing AWS infrastructure spend across Lambda, ALBs, and SQS
* Security services: building and improving infrastructure services to meet security requirements
* Monitoring & observability: building out Grafana dashboards, refining Sentry alerting, and improving visibility across infrastructure
* Vercel account consolidation: migrating from two Vercel accounts into one
* Preview environments: maintaining and improving per‑PR Lambda environments with automatic teardown
* Developer experience: making it faster and easier for engineers to ship code
* AI integration: exploring how AI can enhance monitoring, scaling, and observability, with the potential to help build a self‑hosted AI solution for internal use with customer data

* Strong Terraform experience
* Hands‑on experience with GitHub Actions
* Experience with Grafana and Sentry is a plus
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely within a small, remote engineering team
