Priory Hospital Stockton Hall is looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist to join the team. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours. Priory Stockton Hall is a long-serving medium secure hospital based in a quiet but well-connected village near the historic city of York. It serves the local Provider Collaborative and multiple National Collaboratives, depending on clinical need, and has a long-standing record of successful patient pathways.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of a compassionate team committed to our patients' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key role in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of patients.
* Manage and coordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy, ensuring treatments, activities, and interventions are delivered effectively through application and communication.
* Respond promptly to referrals, undertake patient assessments to identify needs, and plan and deliver appropriate interventions on an individual or group basis. Maintain accurate records of each patient's rehabilitation and progress.
* Ensure the effective management of junior staff members.
* Develop and maintain close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multidisciplinary team, ensuring practice aligns with Priory policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.

Job responsibilities

Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, full BAOT membership, and HPC registration.
