Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
In this role, you will focus on collaborative, safe, effective and evidenced-based practice. Working closely with primary and community services as well as with social care partners, you play a critical role in ensuring a person-centred experience.
As an OOH Nurse, you will be required to:
1. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual, patient-centred interventions drawing on a wide range of specialist knowledge gained from practical experience and specific training.
2. Be competent in a broad range of clinical skills including catheterisation, pain management, wound care, end of life care and IV medication after specific training and more.
3. Actively use and promote shared decision-making, empowering people to improve self-management of their long-term condition while working collaboratively with our teams and outside partners.
4. Support colleagues including peers, students and unregistered workforce in nursing competencies, helping us shape our existing service and contribute to the future design and delivery.
Working Pattern: Our team works between the hours of 16:00 - 08:00. We provide an evening service 16:00 - 00:00 and night service 22:30 - 08:00. This role does include weekends and bank holidays.
