A private girls' boarding and day school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, for students aged 11-18. Catering for approximately 1050 students and staff daily, the school offers breakfast, lunch, supper, am and pm snacks, and has three feeding locations for breakfast and supper. The location also features extensive hospitality services. This is a 7-day operation with shift patterns covering 5 days a week. On-site parking is available free of charge.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our friendly and established team at our prestigious High Wycombe location.
Your role will be crucial in maintaining the kitchen's hygiene, safety, and cleanliness to our high standards.
* Experience with pot wash duties is advantageous
* Excellent team player
* Assist chefs with food preparation
* Maintain high cleanliness standards at all times
* Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
* Handle heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials, including air filters and extraction systems
* Operate industrial dishwashers
We are looking for:
* Experience as a Kitchen Porter is preferred but not essential
* Strong organizational skills
* Good verbal English communication skills
* Basic written English reading and comprehension skills
* Experience in customer service or food preparation environments is a plus
