We are hiring a Mandarin Speaking Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to expand our reach in mission-critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics. What your day will look like
1. Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology
2. Elaborate solutions to be proposed to prospective clients
3. Participate to the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux
4. Convey market requirements to key stakeholders in our organization, and sometimes participate to the development or refining of generic solutions to unlock market potential
5. Be both a customer advocate and a trusted advisor to Canonical
What we are looking for in you
6. The candidate needs to be fluent in Mandarin and willing to travel to China regularly
7. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field
8. Extensive Linux experience - Debian or Ubuntu preferred
9. Distribution / Packaging experience (deb, rpm, ...)
10. Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot...)
11. Fluency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
12. Professional written and spoken English in addition to the local language
13. Excellent communication and presentation skills
14. Result-oriented, ability to multi-task
15. A personal drive to meet commitments
16. An humble learner and quick study
17. Albeit many projects can be done remotely, the successful candidate will be willing to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings, company events, and conferences
