Barista (Student Staff Team)
Location: Brunel Engine Shed.
Pay: £14.12 per hour including annual leave allowance
Hours: 6am to 9am Monday to Friday (up to 15 hours per week).
Contract: Temporary, job share available
Main Purpose of the job:
To ensure the provision of a high-quality service is championed at all times and generally assist in revenue generation and stock control within the Students’ Union catering operation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: (in no particular order)
* Make and serve Costa coffee according to provided training.
* Work with the catering team in the day-to-day operations of commercial activities within agreed standards, procedures and parameters.
* Provide efficient and appropriate service to both internal and external customers, showing high standards of customer care at all times.
* Operate tills, taking payment in line with set procedures.
* Handle stock and equipment in a secure manner.
* Ensure that adequate filling of displays as and when necessary.
* Replenish stocks appropriate to demand and be accountable for control and storage of that stock.
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of food for resale.
* Observe and work within health, safety, hygiene and other regulations pertaining to the operation of the premises.
* Report any potential hazards to the Head of Catering and Hospitality.
* Keep all food areas clean and tidy before, during and after operating hours and undertake cleaning duties as directed.
