Base pay range
$65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Position Summary
Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising and company direction. Introduce and lead company change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate objectives to teams. Model exceptional customer service and support customer service initiatives, resolve customer needs and issues, and develop action plans for improvement. Drive financial performance and sales by managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, ensuring effective merchandise presentation, and mitigating shrink. Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and develop associates: hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing performance, promoting belonging in the workplace.
* Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and support the Open Door Policy, applying these in business processes.
* Foster a culture of belonging, collaboration, and high-performing teams; attract and retain talent; drive integrity and accountability.
* Deliver customer-focused results using data-driven decision making and EDLP/EDLC principles.
* Promote continuous learning and adaptability; support change initiatives and technology adoption.
Qualifications
* Minimum Qualifications: 2 years of college; or 1 year of retail experience with 1 year supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience with 1 year supervisory experience.
* Facilities that sell firearms or ammunition may require background checks, training, or state certificates as applicable.
* Associates must complete required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy, Open Door).
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership; experience supervising 5+ direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
