Salary: £31,000 - £34,299.20 (including sleeps)
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives? An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading specialist provider as a Senior Children’s Support Worker in a modern, well-established residential children’s home in Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities
* Encourage young people to participate in activities and develop responsibility suitable to their age.
* Maintain a warm, friendly, and homely environment within the home.
* Support children and young people with challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically.
* Promote independence and well-being while supporting their individual needs.
* Ensure the safety and protection of young people at all times.
* Keep up-to-date with care plans, risk assessments, reward systems, and communication preferences.
* Build positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals such as psychologists.
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience as a Children’s Support Worker or working with young people (desirable but not essential).
* Experience in healthcare or social care settings (desirable but not essential).
* A full UK driving licence, as transportation of young people may be required.
* Ability to work flexible hours with shift patterns including sleep-ins (16–24 hours shifts, on a 1‑2 or 2‑4 basis).
* Be over the age of 21 and able to commute to Newton Abbot.
