Job reference 335111 Administrator Permanent, Full time Starting salary - £26,801 Dorset Mail Centre, Nuffield Ind Est, Poole, BH17 0AA The Production Control Administrator supports Royal Mail's Mail Centre operations by maintaining accurate production schedules, ensuring timely workflow updates, coordinating resources, and providing administrative support that enables efficient processing of mail and parcels. This role contributes to Royal Mail's operational goals, ensuring performance, quality, and customer commitments are met in line with organisational standards and planning frameworks About The Role Duties to include assisting in creating, updating, and communicating daily and weekly production schedules based on plant objectives and workload requirements. Royal Mail production planning emphasises detailed mail centre production plans aligned with plant goals and scorecards. Support the production control team in monitoring daily workflow to ensure work is distributed efficiently across processing areas. You will also maintain accurate production performance records, workload data, and hours reporting. Support continuous improvement by gathering data on high impact work areas and loss opportunity insights. Other duties include Maintain documentation and support adherence to Royal Mail operational standards, compliance requirements, and safety procedures. Assist managers in monitoring operational risk through data tracking and documentation. Liaise between production teams, shift managers, planning teams, and other support functions to ensure consistent communication of priorities. Issue timely updates to operational leaders regarding changes in workload, material flows, staffing, or performance challenges. Provide administrative support for audits, reviews, and operational planning documents, along with general admin duties. About You You will need to demonstrate excellent communication & people skills, be comfortable to have discussions with employees regarding potential difficult situations. You must have a keen eye for detail and be good at analysing data, Excellent excel skills is a must due to the amount of data and reporting thats required, good knowledge of formulas on excel would be benificial.
