Job Description
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor (Hybrid) role involves:
3. Supervise 2-3 Accounts Receivable Assistants
4. Process Accounts Receivable transactions in a timely manner to ensure ledgers are accurate and up to date
5. Deal with parents, students and colleague's queries by phone, email or in person in a helpful, supportive and proactive manner
6. Undertake ad hoc duties and reporting as required
7. Build strong relationships with other departments
8. Process student records and invoices/credit notes
9. Maintain accurate billing information and instructions on the database to facilitate timely receipts
10. Collect credit card payments and record these and other payments on the database
11. Issue notice penalty invoices or process refunds for leaving families as applicable
12. Proactively communicate with parents to enable effective credit control, including contact via phone and sending overdue statements via email to chase outstanding debt
13. Ensure that best practice is being followed and that Terms and Conditions are adhered to by the department
14. Assist with biannual billing process
15. Assist with Month end reconciliations
16. Management of Accounts Receivable inbox
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Receivable Supervisor (Hybrid) should have:
17. Previous supervisory experience in a similar role
18. Excellent customer service and cultural awareness skills
19. High accuracy and attention to detail
20. Able to deal sensitively with difficult situations and with discretion
21. Able to liaise and interact with Finance colleagues, non-Finance colleagues and external stakeholders in a professional and collaborative manner
22. Good IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft office packages: good spreadsheet knowledge preferred. Prior experience of CRM systems preferred
23. Good planning and organisational skills to deal appropriately with internal and external stakeholders and meet deadlines
24. GCSE English and Mathematics essential
25. Experience working within a Finance team desired, preferably with accounts receivable/credit control experience
