Lead Software Developer - 12 month FTC

A new Exciting opportunity has become available for a Lead Software Developer to provide technical leadership and line management within an exciting software development team for a public sector body. This hands-on role is crucial for leading development initiatives and mentoring junior developers, ensuring the delivery of strategically important projects.
Day-to-day of the role:
Provide technical leadership to a team, guiding them in the development of software applications.
Offer line management to team members ranging from interns to developers.
Collaborate with other leaders to refine and enhance team workflows and practices.
Utilize a broad range of technologies and systems to design, code, and test applications, primarily using .NET/C#.
Identify suitable technologies and approaches for project requirements.
Contribute actively to the internal developer community, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical leadership to your team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring developers within a team.
Expertise in .NET/C# application design, coding, and testing.
Significant experience with cloud technologies, preferably Azure (Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus).
Practitioner level understanding of Agile methodologies, able to implement Agile values and principles effectively.
Experience in building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Ability to collaborate effectively with user researchers and represent user needs internally.
Strong problem-solving skills, capable of debugging and optimizing production-level issues.
