IT Security Manager / Lead - Bristol - Up to £50k - New
Location - Bristol (1 day a month)
A leading organisation in the Bristol area requires an IT Security Mananger to join its busy IT team. The role will involve, driving forward security standards as well as understanding and identifying the risks associated with systems and services and adressing these.
Suitable candidates will have the folloiwng experience:
* Strong knowledge of information security standards, frameworks and regulations
* Experience in development and implementation of security strategies and policies
* A technically minded self-motivated and logical approach to work
* Experience and knowledge of using the following security tools: Fortinet, Sentinel, Darktrace, EDR platforms, Microsoft Entra, CA policies best practices
* A formal security certification e.such as CISSP, CISM, or relevant Microsoft certifications woudl be advantageous
Duties are as follows:
* Leading the IT security information strategy aligning with the wider business and IT objectives.
* Implementing and managing security controls, processes and technologies.
* Owning the maintenance and continuous improvement of the information security management system
* Overseeing incident response and threat management, leading investigations and coordinating with IT to contain and resolve security incidents.
* Maintaining proactive awareness of the external threat environment and staying informed on emerging risks, vulnerabilities and trends.
* Defining and owning the vulnerability management process, ensuring regular assessments, patching and remediation of security weaknesses.
* Leading third party risk management
