MCS Group is working exclusively with a fast-scaling tech company in their search for a Senior Software Engineer. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to work on a scaling SaaS product, with the chance to learn new technologies.
The Head of Engineering and CTO have created this role as a key part of growth plans. This is a great opportunity for a passionate software developer who enjoys investigating new technologies, tinkering, and trying new things in a scaling environment.
Responsibilities
* Investigate new and emerging technologies, tooling, AI, and emerging programming languages.
* Write and maintain high-quality, scalable code.
* Support CI/CD, deployment processes, and production stability.
* Break down work, assign tasks, and track progress.
* Remove blockers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
The software team currently works with PHP (Symfony), Angular, TypeScript, and AWS. Experience in these technologies is helpful, but not mandatory if you have strong problem-solving skills and a track record of learning quickly.
Requirements and what you’ll bring
* Ability to demonstrate learning something new or investigating a new technology during a project.
* Interest in taking on a senior role in a scaling tech business.
* Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment and a passion for software craftsmanship; ability to keep up with industry trends and possibly side projects.
Benefits and compensation
Salary up to £75,000 with a package that includes share options and private medical insurance.
