This is a high-impact role for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment. We are looking for a team player who is passionate about building resilient, scalable systems that will support real-time trading and analytics.**In this role you’ll be responsible for**:* Architecting and leading development of core infrastructure that supports the mission-critical exchange platforms and PostgreSQL databases globally.* Automated tooling for database observability, replication, failover, and performance tuning to meet the demands of our high-throughput systems.* Partnering with other teams to ensure platform reliability and drive continuous improvement.* Contributing to incident response and root cause analysis, ensuring rapid recovery and long-term resilience of the trading and data platforms.* Mentoring other engineers and influencing the technical roadmap.**The ideal candidate has**:* Expert-level experience with PostgreSQL, including replication, tuning and high-availability strategies in production environments.* Strong proficiency in Python, with a track record of delivering tested, maintainable code.* Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX systems, shell scripting and Salt orchestration.**Desirable experience:*** Familiarity with Snowflake is a plus.* Background in financial markets and trading systems is preferred.**Location Overview**The Cboe office in London is situated in The Monument Building, a modern space that spans two floors and features a spacious outdoor balcony.
