Thorpe-Le-Soken Surgery are seeking either an Experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Emergency Care Practitioner / Paramedic (ECP/Paramedic) for 20-30 hours a week to join our friendly, supportive and caring team. The role is working between Thorpe Surgery and our branch surgery in Kirby Cross. The role will offer you the opportunity to build on your experience of working effectively within a multi-disciplinary; healthcare team, as you will work alongside fellow professionals within the practice in support of one another. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic primary care environment, combining autonomous clinical decision-making with direct patient care. The role is split between working as a d uty clinician —managing urgent same-day demand—and delivering face-to-face patient consultations within the surgery. Key responsibilities of the role include Act as duty clinician, triaging and managing urgent patient presentations Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and minor illness Provide high-quality, patient-centred care in face-to-face clinics Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team Prescribe medications (if qualified) and manage care plans appropriately To accurately triage and prioritise patients, including in emergency situations and telephone triage, demonstrating the use of a variety of techniques to elicit the history of an event/illness, including past medical and drug history.
