GBP48,000 (Rising to GBP50,500 with training) + Regular Overtime and Call:Out:Payment
Monday:Friday 3:Shift (6:2 / 2:10 / 10:6) + Weekend Call:Out Cover
(GBP200 per weekend + X4 overtime hourly rate when called in)
Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturer that is making a huge investment in the factory over the next 5 years. Due to this growth and new production lines being installed, they are looking to grow the engineering function with the addition of new shift engineers.
Role And Responsibilities
* Provide electrical and mechanical support and repairs for all production equipment and site services
* Fixing production machinery, industrial processing equipment, conveyors, packaging machinery, automation and controls, PLCs, SCADA Systems, robots, site services, facilities
* Supporting the engineering shift managers with project work: new machine and production line installs
* PPMs, electrical and mechanical fault finding, problem solving, machine upgrades
* PLC: electrical fault finding
* Mechanical fabrication, fitting, machining and welding to make parts and repairs
* Work as part of a weekend call:out / standby rota when needed (GBP200 additional payments)
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
* Must be a multi-skilled engineer (electrical and mechanical)
* Apprenticeship trained or a time-served engineering with mechanical and electrical qualifications
* At least 4 years+ experience previously working in FMCG or packaging manufacturing
* Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
* PLC: electrical fault finding: Siemens
* Experience of carrying out CI projects, new machine installations
* Experienced in planning and scheduling PPM work
* Must be happy covering a weekend call:out / standby cover when needed (additional payments)
* Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding and machining skills beneficial
