Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations.
Shifts may vary according to our lunch (9am to 3am) or dinner service (6 pm to 10/11pm), Wednesday to Saturday, Sunday shift is 12pm to 5/6pm, mandatory with a break and a roast.
Monday and Tuesday, the pub is closed.
Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring ingredients are ready for cooking and service.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
* Support chefs and kitchen staff during service by providing necessary items and maintaining an efficient workflow.
* Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
* Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring stock rotation is followed.
* Participate in general kitchen duties as required, contributing to a positive team environment.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key.
* Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques; culinary experience is an advantage.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
* A good understanding of health and safety standards within a kitchen setting.
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition, contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere.

Pay: £7.55-£12.25 per hour
