Overview
INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY. We are looking for 3 organised and customer-focused Centre Administrators to support the daily operations at three of our community sites. This varied role combines front-of-house service, administration, and event support, helping ensure our centres remain welcoming, efficient, and accessible to the local community.
Centre Administrator (Multi-Site) – INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a professional reception and information service to customers, visitors, and hirers
* Manage room bookings, diaries, and invoicing systems accurately and efficiently
* Support the promotion of the centres to the wider community
* Assist with event delivery, including:
o Setting up rooms
o Preparing refreshments
o Supporting bar service when required
o Liaising with hirers and event staff to ensure smooth and safe delivery
o Maintaining accurate records and supporting administrative processes across all three sites
o Assist with producing basic reports and statistical information
o Order stock and support general centre operations
About You
* Experience working in a community facility, arts venue, or similar environment and is confident in administration, including bookings, diary management and record keeping
* Has strong communication and customer service skills
* Is comfortable working across multiple locations and managing priorities
* Has a basic understanding of reporting and data handling
* Is confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
* Is flexible, proactive, and enjoys working as part of a team
Additional Information
A Basic DBS check will be required for the successful candidates.

Hours & Location
* Meadows Community Centre – 7.4 hours (one day per week to be arranged)
* Clay Farm Centre – 7.4 hours (one day per week to be arranged)
* Cluster Centres - Brown's Field Community Centre, Akeman Street Community Centre and Darwin Green Community Rooms – 7.4 hours. This post is for one day per week based at one of the Cluster Centres listed. The specific day will be fixed and can be agreed as a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or a rotation of those days.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £16.90 - £18.85 per hour (City Pay Band 4), Enhanced Rates for occasional weekend working.
