About the role: To provide legal advice to the Council/Housing Service on the following: • landlord and tenant law, • statutory duty of care, • homelessness/disrepair • the acquisition and disposal of property and the development of housing policy and process • advice in respect to specific letters, disputes or other matters • detailed advice on complex cases • advice on leaseholder agreements, consultation and sale covenants About you: A thorough knowledge of Housing Law and Court procedure. A Solicitor or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives What you will do: Provide legal advice and assistance to the housing service Experience of providing guidance and support to colleagues Demonstrates a responsive and effective customer focused approach An excellent track record of building internal and external relationships which deliver A thorough knowledge of Housing Law.
