Logistics Operative

The most intricate aerospace components and structures, inspected and stored by you.

Working as a key member of the Logistics team in a busy environment you will be responsible for a range of activities to support the receipt and despatch of components while conforming to regulatory and procedural requirements. You will be supporting the Production Teams in all general activities to achieve our customer's expectations. This is a multi-tasking, support based role. You'll work with the latest equipment and gain valuable experience in aircraft logistics. You'll have opportunities to learn and progress, with investment being made on site it's an exciting time to join our growing local team.

Who are Safran Landing Systems?

Our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation partner with a range of global customers, working closely with major airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Wizz Air, Iberia, Vueling, Air Canada, Etihad and Qatar.

What will I be doing?

Working at our MRO site as a key member of the Logistics team in a busy environment, you will be responsible for a range of activities to support the receipt and despatch of components.

Key Responsibilities:
- Goods Inwards Receiving, Surveying, and Inspection of new parts, processed parts & consumables
- Packing, Despatch and Loading activities of all products company wide (some heavy lifting)
- Delivery of all items to internal customers
- Manage stock & condition of packing cases and packaging materials
- Management of documentation associated to the disposal/mutilation of scrap parts

Job Requirements

What do I need to succeed in the role?

- Current and valid Fork Lift Driver Licence
- Lifting & Slinging experience an advantage
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to obtain DBS certificate
- Experience of working in a warehouse or distribution centre

But what else? (advantages, specific features, etc.)

The hours for this role will be working on a shift basis;

Week 1; Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 2:30pm / Friday 6:00am - 11:30am
Week 2; Monday - Thursday 2:15pm - 10:30pm / Friday 11:15am - 5:45pm

These shifts will rotate weekly and will be eligible for shift uplift on the base salary.

There is no regular travel required with this role
