Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 per annum
Role Information
Our Construction Academies division at Learning Curve Group comprises two academies in the North East (Middlesbrough & Sunderland). We specialise in Bricklaying, Plastering, Carpentry & Joinery, Painting & Decorating, and Multi Skill qualifications, offering Short & Long Courses, Apprenticeships and Study Programmes with hands-on workshop experience. Tutors and assessors support and guide apprentices throughout their journey, delivering an outstanding experience and demonstrating clear value to employer clients.
* Carry out learner inductions and associated processes
* Deliver a timetable of learning as agreed with the Academy Manager
* Deliver qualifications in collaboration with team members and the Academy Manager to meet expectations
* Complete ILPs appropriate to individual learner requirements, including smart targets and planned review points
* Maintain required registers and documentation to contract standards and communicate deadlines to colleagues
* Monitor attendance and performance and report to management
* Provide support systems to facilitate retention, achievement and progression
* Timely completion of assessment and documentation to meet awarding, funding and organisational requirements
* Submit portfolios for interim and summative verification
* Contribute to learner disciplinary action where appropriate
* Maintain equipment logs and prevent loss through theft
* Attend standardisation and team meetings; undertake internal moderation as required
* Promote safe working practices in line with Health & Safety legislation
* Engage in CPD and maintain a record of development activities
* Ensure the work area is clean and safe for staff and learners
* Deliver weekend courses on a rotation basis and share with the team
* Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, advice and guidance
* Operate in line with company values and expected behaviours; promote equal opportunities and diversity
* Comply with Safeguarding, Prevent and Health & Safety Policies and be vigilant to risks
* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
* Other duties as required
Essential Criteria
* Qualified up to Level 3 in trades such as Bricklaying, Joinery, Plastering or Painting & Decorating
* Relevant Teaching & Assessing Qualifications
* Understanding of the Education and Training Industry
