We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed to the highest standards.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to create new menu items and improve existing offerings.
* Monitor inventory levels, assisting in ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock.
* Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.
* Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
Experience
* Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Supervising experience is essential, with demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively.
* Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
