* To deliver a high quality, effective and efficient radiographic service to the highest professional standards. To become actively involved within the plain film modality where you will carry out duties commensurate with a senior radiographic post within the department.
* To review the quality of the learning environment by providing support, supervision, educational and professional development opportunities for practice assessors, supervisors, students, qualified health care professionals and support workers within the practice setting. To liaise closely with the Lead Practice Educator, as part of a team of practice educators, to provide support, provision and facilitation of CPD and deliver training and source external training where appropriate across the multidisciplinary radiology team
* To support and create effective learning placements within the organisation in line with national agendas and Higher Education Institutions. Supervising, assessing and supporting students and apprentices in the department
* To support 7 day, 24 hour working, including bank/public holidays as required by the needs to the service including rotation to peripheral sites.
Applications are welcomed from diagnostic radiographers with demonstrable current post graduate NHS experience within X-Ray (plain film) to include sound clinical knowledge of the modality. As a Senior Radiographer you would be expected to provide clinical excellence, leadership and teaching, working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. You will support the day to day running of the X-Ray Practice Education Programme and liaise with our HEI's to support our student learners.
* Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.
