We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Care Home Manager to support the Registered Home Manager in the day‑to‑day leadership of the service. Both clinical and non‑clinical candidates will be considered, provided they have relevant experience within a care home or similar health and social care environment.
Responsibilities
* Help ensure the home delivers safe, effective, and compassionate care at all times, while supporting and developing the wider team.
* Deputise for the Home Manager in their absence and support overall leadership of the service.
* Ensure a safe, caring, stimulating, and homely environment for residents and visitors.
* Lead by example, promoting dignity, respect, and independence for all residents.
* Support, supervise, coach, and mentor nurses, senior carers and care assistants.
* Oversee or support care delivery, care planning and risk management (clinical or non‑clinical, depending on background).
* Carry out audits, quality checks and reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Support the home to meet and maintain CQC standards and internal quality expectations.
* Contribute to recruitment, induction and ongoing training of staff.
* Maintain accurate records and support safeguarding and incident reporting processes.
* Assess potential residents to support occupancy and safe admissions.
* Work collaboratively with the Home Manager and multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement.
