Group Demand Planner
If you are you a confident, analytical thinker with a passion for turning data into actionable insights, this Group Demand Planner would be an excellent opportunity to be a key player within this continually growing organisation.
In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for demand forecasting, inventory management, and cross-departmental collaboration. You'll work closely with Sales and Operations to translate market intelligence into precise forecasts, optimise stock levels, and drive continuous improvements across the supply chain. Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, who works remotely, you'll operate with autonomy and confidence, making impactful decisions daily.
Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
* Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on sales data, market trends, and historical patterns.
* Analyse and interpret complex data to optimise stock availability while minimising excess or obsolete inventory.
* Take full ownership of inventory and purchasing calculations in Excel and ERP systems.
* Maintain and optimise ERP parameters
* Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to incorporate market insights into demand plans.
* Suggest strategic purchases and stock movements to meet customer demand efficiently.
* Continuously improve demand planning processes, tools, and reporting.
* Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend actionable solutions.
* Proactively communicate potential supply chain challenges and propose solutions.
* Generate regular reports on forecast accuracy, stock levels, and key supply chain metrics.
Skills and experience required:
* Exceptional analytical and numerical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
* Advanced Excel expertise, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to work independently.
* Full understanding of the supply chain process and how demand planning drives business success.
* Collaborative mindset to work across departments, while taking ownership of your role day-to-day.
* CIPS or equivalent would be beneficial
