Role Overview
To manage and develop sales to a portfolio of existing customers and potential customers in line with the company sales strategy and targets. Delivering new business in the product categories consistent with the extrusion strategy and business needs whilst providing timely and accurate forecast data and delivery of budgeted volume.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver or exceed monthly and annual sales revenue, tonnage, and contribution margin budgets for the specific targeted products.
* Develop detailed knowledge of direct end use markets for the Product Categories in scope where the internal sales team has a track record of success.
* Manage and maintain a robust new business pipeline process through active prospecting in Winsford chosen markets.
* Maintain accurate, comprehensive records.
* Highlight to External Sales team / Sales Director potential large or long term opportunities raised during telesales activity.
* Ensure collaboration with the internal teams (technical, operations, planning, sales, customer service, commercial) as well as with the other parts of the organisation .
* Follow office procedure fully and accurately with particular attention to commercial and trial processes.
* Provide support to colleagues within the Business Development team as required.
* Work with the Sales Director, Category Manager and Commercial Excellence team to ensure that offers and agreements made are commercially rigorous.
* Implement price movements as required by the business in conjunction with the Commercial Excellence team to ensure the business sustains its margins at all times.
* Maintain effective reporting processes (daily, weekly, monthly, activity, results, and variances).
* Ensure that sales forecasts are submitted accurately and on time.
* Deliver regular feedback regarding market forces and competitor activities.
