Job Title: Construction Design Lead (CDM 2015)

About the Role:
Join the team building the UK's first new nuclear power station in a generation. Critical to meeting NetZero goals. As Construction Design Lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring safe, buildable, and compliant designs from concept to completion, in line with CDM 2015 regulations. This role demands a proactive and collaborative professional with a strong focus on safety, quality, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and manage the Health and Safety File.
Conduct design risk assessments and support construction safety through design decisions.
Provide technical oversight of drawings and specifications.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement and act as the point of contact for CDM-related queries.
Promote and support the integration of BIM and digital tools.
Support planning, regulatory approvals, and clear communication of design intent.What We're Looking For:
Extensive experience in construction or project management within the nuclear or engineering sectors.
Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and risk management.
Proven ability to align employer requirements with project goals.
Formal qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management (degree, HND, or ONC).
Desirable: Experience with NEC/FIDIC contracts and client liaison. Chartered status (ICE, IStructE, CIOB) is a plus.Why Join Us?
