Head Chef
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, every other weekend

We are recruiting a Head Chef to join our Hospitality team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without split shifts and long hours. You will have full autonomy to create nutritious, flavorful, and balanced menus, involving residents in menu creation. Key responsibilities:
* Work within the company budget.
* Train kitchen staff on dish specifications and budget control.
* Manage kitchen stock.
* Inspire and motivate the team to meet food standards and satisfy residents.
* Lead by example, setting standards and pace.
* Meet monthly with management to ensure dietary requirements are met.
* Train and develop staff to exceed residents’ expectations.
* Ensure all food is cooked to a safe temperature and taste-tested before serving.
* Ensure food storage complies with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain kitchen standards as per audits.
* Implement and adhere to the company’s Health and Safety policies, including staff training.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Relevant catering experience.
* Intermediate/Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Knowledge of equipment handling, including knives.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Experience achieving food margins.
* Understanding of H.A.C.C.P. protocols and documentation.
* Menu writing, planning, and costing skills.
* Experience with system compliance and standards delivery.
* Team player mindset.
* Knowledge of dietary and nutritional requirements.
* Interest in working within a caring environment.
* Effective communication skills at all levels.
* Satisfactory police check and ISA list clearance (if applicable).
* Basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
* Experience with nutritional information (desirable).
