NPC Northumbria is seeking a Salaried GP for up to 7 sessions per week to join our well-established practice within Northumbria Primary Care.
As a teaching practice, we take pride in developing our future workforce in primary care, including GP registrars, medical students, nursing students, and staff development. We welcome candidates interested in teaching and exploring special interests.
One session per week is allocated to Enhanced Access on Wednesdays, paid at a different rate.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early once sufficient applications are received.
As part of Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC), we prioritize flexibility and independence, supported by a dedicated management team to focus on clinical priorities.
The Salaried GP will be a key clinician, with a job plan to provide general medical services addressing a broad range of health needs in a primary care setting.
NPC manages several GP practices with around 120,000 registered patients across Northumberland and North Tyneside, in partnership with local GPs.
Benefits include:
* Opportunities for portfolio working and developing specialist clinical interests.
* Access to Northumbria healthcare benefits, lease cars, electronics, and wellbeing offers.
* Support with education, including monthly sessions, quarterly practice-wide education, Red Whale access, mentorship, and coaching.
* Clinical Support Unit assistance with medication requests, reviews, and documentation to reduce admin burdens.
While part of a larger organization, NPC operates with flexibility and independence, supported by a consistent management team.
We are embracing new technologies to improve patient services and value patient feedback for continuous improvement.
Having a GP trainer role is advantageous but not essential, provided there is an interest in education.
The post involves working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high standards of care, managing a busy caseload, and contributing to operational and strategic practice management. Opportunities for personal and professional development are available across primary and secondary care.
