Multi:Skilled Engineer (Electrical Biased)

Monday:Friday 8am:5pm + 1 in 3 Week Call Out Rota
GBP47,000 + Overtime
Our client is a leading food manufacturer that is part of a larger European Group. Due to an up and coming retirement, they are looking for a new multi:skilled maintenance engineer, electrically biased to join their close knit team.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for supporting PPMs and reactive maintenance across all site production and packaging machinery, site services and facilities
* Electrical and mechanical fault finding, problem solving and repairs
* New machinery installations, project work
* PLC : electrical fault finding
* Worked on conveyors, mixers, baggers, production lines, packaging machinery, elevators, metal detectors, stitchers, labellers, scanners
* Fixing motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, chains, sprockets, control panels, sensors, safety circuits, pumps, blowers, hydraulics
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Ideally be a multi:skilled engineer : electrically biased
* Must be comfortable working in a small team, flexible to working a call out rota
* Have completed a time:served:apprenticeship
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills
* Must have previously have worked in fast:paced manufacturing, ideally food / FMCG
* PLC : electrical fault finding
* Mechanical fabrication, fitting, and welding skills would be beneficial
* Projects and continuous improvement experience
* Must have worked with pneumatics and hydraulics
* Ideally have a varied career, comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
* 17th or 18th Edition
* Able to work unsupervised
