We have an excellent opportunity for a creative and effective Senior Sous Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Godalming.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare all food service areas for the day's business related to that meal service.
2. Ensure prompt service of all meals to meet company and client standards.
3. Ensure preparation and presentation methods comply with company expectations.
4. Set up, serve, clear, clean, and store food, beverages, or equipment required for daily service.
5. Prepare all food for sale/service, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
6. Restock and replenish stocks and consumables during service, anticipating customer needs.
7. Inform the front of house of any food shortages to prevent delays.
8. Perform cleaning and hygiene duties as required.
9. Serve customers, visitors, and guests according to service standards.
10. Manage waste and recycling appropriately.
11. Assist in order preparation and placement.
12. Ensure kitchen compliance with health & safety regulations.
13. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at the end of each shift.
14. Attend meetings and training sessions as needed.
15. Notify the head chef of stock movements to ensure proper ordering.
General Responsibilities:
1. Attend all staff meetings.
2. Adhere to policies and procedures, complying with legislation and company standards.
3. Wear a clean, neat uniform and maintain high personal presentation standards.
4. Perform food temperature checks and other safety checks.
5. Respond to reasonable requests from management.
6. Provide cover for colleagues during absences when required.
7. Report hazards related to health & safety to the management.
Key Personal Skills and Attributes:
