Responsibilities
* Work closely with management to run shifts and prioritise the workload.
* Ensure issues are dealt with promptly and health, safety and welfare of residents and staff are maintained.
* Assist with recording and updating care plans to meet changing needs.
* Lead a team of care staff and support them throughout each shift.
Shift Details
Morning shift: 7:45am – 2:45pm
Evening shift: 2:45pm – 9:45pm
Alternate weekend working required. Weekly contracts available of 7, 14, 21, 28 or 35 hours. Full shift availability required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in care leadership.
* NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care (ideal).
* Good knowledge of CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
Training and Development
2½ weeks induction training and a further 2–4 weeks “Buddy scheme”.
Legal & Compliance
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS certificate, at our cost. West Northamptonshire Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
The role does not meet the legal requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
