Project Coordinator Charity Jobs NI is delighted to be recruiting on behalf ofHarmonIfor aProject Coordinatorto lead the design, development and delivery ofMoving On: Breaking Free From Homelessness a five-year project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. This is an exciting, purpose-driven opportunity for someone with strong project leadership and a passion for helping people. The Project Coordinator will work with men experiencing homelessness atHarmonIs Utility Street Mens Homeless Hostel, Belfast, supporting clients to become more resilient and ready to move on from emergency accommodation into a tenancy of their choosing. Depending on your background, you may have worked in similar roles such asProject Manager,Programme Manager,Service Coordinator,Homelessness Project Manager,Tenancy Sustainment Coordinator,Resettlement Project Lead,Supported Housing Project CoordinatororProgramme Coordinator (Homelessness). Location Utility Street Hostel, Belfast, with flexibility to travel to other sites as required. Hours of Work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required. Contract Permanent, subject to successful completion of probation period. Salary and Benefits £33,500 per annum, plus benefits. The role includes additional benefits such as an annual car allowance, enhanced sick pay, health insurance and death in service benefit. The Role In this Project Coordinator role, you will oversee a programme designed to equip single men experiencing homelessness with the skills, knowledge and resources required to secure and sustain independent tenancies. Delivery will include seminars, workshops and one-to-one support, alongside activities to improve mental and physical health. A significant element of this post will involve working with HarmonIs Corporate Team to source funding and support the organisations strategic objective of becoming a private landlord with purpose buying, renovating and managing properties to support move-on accommodation for clients leaving emergency settings. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee a programme to support men experiencing homelessness to improve confidence, quality of life and mental wellbeing, and develop the knowledge and skills to secure and maintain permanent housing and employment. Produce outcome planning for each participant, supporting clients to document a measurable personal plan and track progress. Coordinate with key workers to develop client plans, which may include improved mental and physical health, combating addictions, relationships, training/employment/volunteering, community citizenship, and finding and sustaining permanent tenancies. Recruit and supervise volunteers. Organise and engage sessional workers to deliver an in-house programme that improves physical and mental health and builds resilience and coping strategies. Signpost clients to other supports, services and projects as required. Organise, plan, deliver and evaluate the programme with clients (including timetables, attendance, generating new ideas, organising in-house events/outings, and providing feedback on progress). Evaluate the programme and provide detailed progress updates every 6 months across the five-year cycle, including a final reporting piece capturing outcomes for participants. Produce annual reporting required by the National Lottery Community Fund, working with Utility Street Hostel management and HarmonI Finance to ensure timely submission and ongoing funding release. Contribute to the Loans to Acquire Move On Accommodation (LAMA) workstream, supporting the case for funding to enable purchase and renovation of properties. Work with the Corporate Team to contribute to the creation of a special purpose vehicle (SPV) (a wholly owned subsidiary) focused on buying, renovating and renting accommodation as a landlord with purpose. Maintain project administration and records, provide relevant information to HR/Finance/Payroll in a timely way, and continually review areas of responsibility for improvement. Demonstrate financial acumen, strong IT competency, analytical and problem-solving capability, and confident communication at all levels. Person Specification Essential Criteria Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades AC including English and Maths (or equivalent / QCF Level 2). Demonstrable experience of working with people in a social or societal exclusion setting (e.g. special housing, residential work, or another supportive environment). Demonstrable experience in the delivery of projects from design to successful implementation. Demonstrable experience in preparing successful business cases including complex budgeting outputs. Demonstrable experience working with statutory, private and voluntary funders. A genuine interest in helping vulnerable people make changes towards independent living. Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in managing people. Awareness of legislative requirements for working with vulnerable adults. Ability to deliver detailed presentations to a wide range of stakeholders and funders. Ability to oversee the creation and delivery of engagement programmes in a way that reflects the client groups capacity. Flexibility to work as required to meet the needs of the programme. Desirable Criteria Third level qualification in a relevant field of study. Experience working with people experiencing homelessness and/or vulnerable client groups within a hostel or supported housing setting. Experience in, or contribution to, a working group connected to corporate governance and establishing a new corporate entity. Full, clean driving licence.
