Job summary
We require friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join a highly motivated and dedicated team of Housekeepers across the Trust, including mental health wards.
This role adds to the patients experience by providing a high-quality cleaning and catering service. The aim will be to ensure a clean safe environment and catering provision for clients, of which in-house training can be provided.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the patient rooms, public areas, back of house areas such as linen room and laundry areas, according to Trust policy and procedures at a level that meets or exceeds National Cleanliness Standards.

Job description
Job responsibilities
Successful candidate need to be a team player who is flexible and reliable, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Posts involve shift working including lates, earlies, weekends, and bank holidays over a rolling rota, whereby weekend and banks holidays are paid at an enhanced rate.
Opportunities for extra hours may also be available so flexibility is required.

12. All new starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process, aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale
13. Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
