Our client is a leading Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy with a fully integrated construction modelling and detailing team. With over 30 years of experience, they have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services across the UK and internationally. Their expertise spans structural steel, architectural metalwork, and offsite construction markets.
As their offsite division continues to grow, they are seeking a Steel Frame System (SFS) Detailer to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on landmark projects and be involved from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Producing accurate 3D models in Tekla.
* Generating material call-offs, GA & fabrication drawings, CAM data, etc., from the Tekla model.
* Interpreting architectural, MEP, and structural drawings.
* Translating concepts into practical, buildable, and cost-effective detailing solutions.
* Managing multiple projects simultaneously and maintaining clear communication with clients.
* Working under pressure to meet deadlines and client expectations.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on SFS and light gauge framing projects.
* Strong technical knowledge of SFS systems and ancillary products.
* Proficiency in Tekla Structures is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise both clients and colleagues.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience managing projects from start to finish.
Additional Information:
* Location: Hybrid – 2 days in the Telford office (Monday & Tuesday), with flexibility to work from home the rest of the week. Office access is available Wednesday to Friday for those who prefer an office setting.
* Hours: Full-time, hours per week (Mon–Thu: 8:30–17:30, Fri: 8:30–13:00).
