We have an exciting opportunity for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our West Sussex Care Delivery Service. The post is based at Linwood, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, which forms part of our newly formed Mid Sussex Neighbourhood Mental Health team (NMHT).
Compensation & Retention
This role attracts a Recruitment and Retention payment of £45,000 structured over a three‑year period as follows:
 * £15,000 payable upon successful recruitment
 * £10,000 payable at 12 months service
 * £10,000 payable at 24 months service
 * £10,000 payable at 36 months service
The Recruitment and Retention payment is pro rata for part‑time employees.
Responsibilities
 * Provide specialist medical/psychiatric assessment and evidence‑based treatment to patients referred to the service.
 * Provide clinical supervision to trainees and informal advice and supervision to non‑medical members of the team.
 * Fulfil the duties of Responsible Clinician for patients subject to Community Treatment Orders, including attendance at Manager Hearings and Tribunals.
 * Conduct Mental Health Act assessments for patients on the team caseload.
 * Liaise with inpatient Responsible Clinicians.
 * Liaise with the forensic team/ drug and alcohol services and risk panel as required.
 * Lead service development and drive change within the Trust.
