About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and driven Commercial Sales Executive to join their fast-paced team based in Durham. This is a unique role combining commercial sales, procurement, supplier management, sales support, and strategic sourcingideal for someone whos commercially sharp, detail-oriented, and thrives on building strong relationships both locally and internationally.
You will take ownership of purchasing decisions, negotiate supplier contracts, and play a key role in expanding the product range and identifying new growth opportunities. The role includes quarterly travel to suppliers in areas such as Europe, China, India, alongside visits to UK suppliers and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead purchasing activities to ensure best value, cost savings, and quality control.
Negotiate commercial terms and long-term contracts with both local and overseas suppliers.
Develop and maintain supplier relationships, with regular quarterly visits abroad (Europe/China/India).
Source new products and suppliers, identifying new opportunities for margin improvement and portfolio expansion.
